The Security Council met at its 6928th meeting on the issue of the  Situation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo to discuss Special Report of the Secretary-General on the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Great Lakes region (S/2013/119).

The Council began its consideration of the item and heard a briefing by the Secretary-General, His Excellency Ban Ki-moon and heard a statement by the representative of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
