Security Council Meeting on Peace and Security in Africa

Monday, 15 April 2013

The Security Council will have its 6946th meeting on peace and security in Africa this morning.  They will discuss the letter dated 2 April 2013 from the Permanent Representative of Rwanda to the United Nations addressed to the Secretary-General  (S/2013/204).

Women, Peace and Security

Following this morning’s meeting on Sierra Leone, the Security Council will meet to discuss the latest report from the Secretary General on Women and Peace and Security (S/2012/732), and the Permanent UN Representative of Guatemala’s letter dated October 2nd (S/2012/774).

Security Council Meeting on Peace and Security in Africa

The Security Council will meet this afternoon, 26 January, on peace and security in Africa.  The letter dated 17 January 2012 from the Secretary-General addressed to the President of the Security Council (S/2012/42) will be discussed.

Strengthening the relationship between the United Nations and regional organizations, in particular the African Union

Today, at its 6702nd meeting, the Security council will hold discussions on Cooperation between the United Nations and regional and subregional organizations in maintaining international peace and security.The discussion will maliny focus on strengthening the relationship between the United Nations and regional organizations, in particular the African Union, in the maintenance of international peace and security.
