UN Security Council:Threats to international peace and security

The UN Security Council meet this morning at its 6765th meeting on Threats to international peace and security to discuss strengthening international cooperation in the implementation of counter terrorism obligations. During this High Level meeting, the concept paper dated 1 May 2012 from the Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan (S/2012/281) will be discussed. The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, will preside the meeting and Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will brief the Council.
On 25th April 2012, its 6760th meeting the security council discussed securing borders against illicit flows. The letter dated 5 April 2012 from the Permanent Representative of the United States of America to the United Nations addressed to the Secretary-General (S/2012/195) was discussed and adopted presidential statement, S/PRST/2012/16.
