Security Council - Somalia

Today the Security Council will meet to discuss the Report of the Secretary‐General on Somalia (S/2011/549). The Council is scheduled to adopt a resolution that would re-authorise the African-Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM). On 22nd September the Secretary-General sent a letter to the President of the Security Council (S/2011/591) expressing concern about the critical gaps that remain in the support package for the mission.
